Sören Urbansky studied Russian and Chinese history in Berkeley, Kasan, Harbin, Beijing and Frankfurt/Oder where he earned a Diploma in Social and Cultural Studies. He teaches East Asian History at the University of Freiburg and is an associate researcher within the North Asian Borders Network based at the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit (University of Cambridge). His main research interests include the history of modern China, of Russia and the Soviet Union, and the history of borders.

 

Sören Urbansky曾在伯克利、喀山、哈尔滨、北京、法兰克福奥德学习俄罗斯史和中国史,并于法兰克福奥德获得社会文化学硕士学位。目前,他在弗莱堡大学历史系教授东亚史,并是剑桥大学蒙古、内亚科研组北亚边境网络的副研究员。他的主要研究兴趣包括近现代中国史、俄罗斯与苏联历史及边境史。
